COPROCAEL (Cooperativa de Productores de Cafe La Encarnacion ) is located in the municipality of La Encarnación in the department of Ocotepeque, close to the borders of El Salvador and Guatemala, an ideal location for for producing high quality coffee.
Their coffee grows in the Erapuca Mountains with an average height of 1000-1600 meters above sea level. The traditional traits for this shade-grown coffee is a balanced body, fragrant aroma, marked acidity, bright citric zing, with hints of caramel, honey, sweet, chocolaty taste, and clean and persistent aftertaste.
COPROCAEL is Fairtrade Organic certified and was the first co-op in Honduras to change their milling and production processes to reduce environmental impact and water usage.
